LIFESTAR Aeromedical Services is based at The University of Tennessee Medical Center
in Knoxville and operates two Bell 430 helicopters. The program started in 1984 and transitioned from the Bell 412 to the Bell 430 in 2003.
The 430's are capable of carrying two patients along with the crew of Pilot, Nurse and Medic.

LIFESTAR Aeromedical Services is based at The University of Tennessee Medical Center
in Knoxville. Both Bell 430's are single pilot IFR equipped. LIFESTAR has also installed GPS
approach systems in several communities allowing instrument approaches to
individual hospitals. This helped LIFESTAR to transport a record number of
212 patients in the month of October, 2003.

Chattanooga. Crew is Pilot, Nurse and Medic. Life Force began operations in 1988. This Bell 412 has
a range of 300 miles and speeds up to 150 mph.
